A special State Capitol Centennial Celebration logo is available for businesses wishing to use it in conjunction with the sale of approved products.
The logo is a black-and-white sketched likeness of the Capitol with the dates "1910-2010" and text that reads "South Dakota State Capitol" in a Garamond font and the word "Centennial" in a script font.
The special logo was developed as part of the 100th birthday observance this year of the historic Capitol building in Pierre.
Businesses or organizations wishing to use the logo must fill out an application explaining the intended use. There is no application fee or royalty payment, but businesses must have the necessary state tax licenses to sell the proposed products.
The application form is available for downloading from this website or by email at email@example.com. One application form per product is required. Completed forms can be emailed to Mike Mueller or mailed to Capitol Centennial Committee, Attn: Mike Mueller, Bureau of Administration, 500 E. Capitol, Pierre, SD 57501. A logo use committee reviews all applications and notifies applicants of approval.
